About the Practitioners

Mike’s passion has always been to see the big picture. It was only natural he would move into the holistic medical field making it is his specialty to assess and diagnose people’s total health and vitality. His interest is in tapping into and using a person’s vitality and innate healing to maximise their own potential. He is perfectly suited to this holistic assessment being an Osteopath, Naturopath and traditionally trained Acupuncturist. He combines both his Western medical training and clinical knowledge with the wisdom and spirituality of the eastern influences of Chinese medicine.

Mike has been in the holistic health industry for over 20 years. He has not only been the sole practitioner of his own private practice for 15 of those years treating thousand’s of clients over this time but has also given back to his industry by being a lecturer at University in the faculty of Osteopathy both at RMIT and Vic Uni. He is also the author of a textbook in the field of Homoeopathy called the “Homoeopathy Colouring Book” which is used internationally and is in it’s 2nd Edition of print. Not surprisingly it is a book of pictures to aid and stimulate the student to learn.

Mike’s interest in health began as a young boy having a mother with an equally passionate interest in health. From this embryonic beginning he studied at University for a decade to achieve his goal of treating a person’s energy, body and food. His decade of study at University and commitment is an accomplishment rarely seen in his industry. He has also spoken to many groups in the community over the years educating the public about better self care and Osteopathy.

His role at RMIT was first as a clinical tuitor for 6 years then lectured in his own subject. His interest in the big picture lead him to construct his own syllabus in diagnosis – helping the students to put together the complete picture and make sure they were safely and accurately diagnosing. He also clinically tuitored at Victoria University for 2 years.

In his early years in private practice he worked with Dr. Alain Rose (GP) in his medical practice for 9 years where he was called upon to discuss many diagnoses and also deals directly with the Occupational health division at the Alfred Hospital treating many of their clients and the staff at the hospital.

His style of treatment has and continues to evolve due to his ongoing commitment to professional development. He uses a postural, structural and cranial approach in his diagnosis and treatment whilst utilising traditional Chinese diagnosis and his vast experience of other fields.
